Flying to France

I visited the south of France in May. I had paid for the trip a few years back and it was use or loose, so I decided to use. I had just closed the store, literally handed in my keys and went straight to the air port. It was a much needed break but honestly I wasn't sure if flying overseas was going to be a break. Very surprisingly & delightfully it went very smoothly. I did miss my connecting flight through Munich, so I got to hang out for 4 hrs. Germany is filled with ghosts you can feel them walking next to you, although I have to say Munich is becoming a very modern city. The airport is very much like how it use to be going to the mall. There is something to German design, especially their cars. I had upgraded to first class and with that comes the business lounge access. You can hang out eat, drink, even take a shower if needed. I was surprised to find a full service bar you bartend yourself. It felt like being at home and pouring your own drink. There is no such thing as a drinking problem in Germany I guess. Only one glass of wine held my attention, I am too excited to get downstairs to the bookstore and find the design magazines I highly covet. Yes, they are in German but I can understand the pictures. I did scour the Denver Airport for the magazines but no dice. Ever since Covid, its hard to find great magazines in the airports! Speaking of Covid, you do not hear the airport message about "wearing your masks and staying six feet away from each other". You hear "don't leave your bag, & let somebody know of a suspicious bag". It was music to my ears. The mask mandates were getting lifted, so that was a relief! Made it to Marseille without a hitch.
